tank tipping, it's not easy, but it can be done

  1. Actually, this originated with our blog: http://progress-is-fine.blogspot.ca/2012/10/tank-tipping.html

I scanned the image from a book in my own library: Frank Vann, M1 Abrams Main Battle Tank. (New York: Mallard Press, 1989) and added the caption about tank tipping.

Apparently, the belinfante-indian blog just scraped it from us. Bad form, old chap, bad form.

    1. ummm... myes, and I very accurately wrote the joke and photo as "found as is" on your site! So, wait, what bad form? I love your site and have posted a lot in the last couple days to share with my readers the great appreciation I have for your site with the immense variety of increedible tool finds, tool info you share, great ww2 stuff... etc.. so- what bad form? Many compliments and always crediting your site for every photo - I even put a couple comments on your site this weekend, as well as the traffic I see going your way from my site... so... I did something in bad form? OH SHIT! I just realized I put the wrong link! HOLY CRAP... oMG. Umm,.... well, ahhh, too many posts not enough sleep but tremendous appreciation? Truley sorry and getting the right link on this right now!

    2. Belinfante didn't scrap it, I effed up on the link in my credit! Totally my mistake as I was looking through your site and his at the same time and must have just control V and not noticed that I hadn't given the right site as the place I found it. Totally my goof up, and error. Many compliments! I did see your post on scraping from other sites, and have about 40 that have scraped me. They are too lazy to remove the incredibly intricate cross linking I do between my own posts, which some times get clicked on, and I see people coming in from other sites, so I look and see what caused the reader to come to my site from other sites, and then notice that my content was scraped. It's ridiculous to think anyone is getting paid for advertising, there are millions of blogs, and no one I've asked has said the ads are worth uglying up their sites.

    3. Yes, I see now from looking at the days posts yesterday that I had posted a couple from Belinfante before the tank tipper, and hadn't went back to the tab I had your site on for the correct link... totally my error/fault, and none to be connected with Belinfante, another quality site (though far less posted) such as yours and mine. Did you see the Indian 3 wheeler fire dept bike? Wow, what a great photo to score!

    4. I must insist you not apologize for "stirring things up" you quite rightfully pointed out my error and lack of proper credit to a site I admire... please continue to do so, I endeavor to show my appreciation of great content creators like you and your website by correctly displaying the link so my readers can see why a site of high content quality and frequent post repetition.. So you see, I am embarrassed that I made that mistake, then didn't catch on at first, and I deliberately left my train of thought on record... I hope you are encouraged to keep checking up on your admirers, and I hope that my reposting some samples of your great stuff keeps people reminded of why your site has a permanent and long history of being on my list of the sites I like the most and recommend to all my readers. Well, I've written more here than in the past years of posts, so I have to get back to showing how cool the stuff is that is on the web, and where my readers can find it! The best wishes to you and your readers!

    1. I screwed up and hit the wrong button.. yes, twice I've made a mistake on this post... and that irony is glaring... I usually make more and thought I was on a upswing toward improvement! Damn.. my decrepit aged fingers are conspiring against me! Damn them! Hope you got a smile out of that, it's my best shot at humor
