Why did they have to go and damage this nice ol bridge in Enumclaw Washington?

The White River Bridge has been shut down for nearly a month since Aug. 18, when a truck struck the bridge, causing extensive damage and shutting it down

Now, the Green River Dan Evans Bridge to the north is also closed for urgent repair work. 

The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) had already scheduled emergency repairs for the Green River Dan Evans Bridge after an inspection last month deemed it too worn to safely carry traffic. 

 Neither bridge is expected to reopen until later in October
