Very cool to see this old camera on the dash
Here's how the Dualmatic works (thank you Steve! https://robwolfe10.tripod.com/dualmatic_hubs.htm )
here's a page about them getting restored https://www.cj3apage.com/index/My_1950/restoring_dualmatic_hubs.htm

I had a 1947 Willys CJ-2A Jeep. It had those kind of locking hubs. They were easy to use. You have to do one wheel at a time, doing both of the levers. But you just grab the end of one lever, pull it out and towards you, then spin it around 180 degrees, and then push it back into place. Then, do the same for the other lever.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteI had one of those but sold it. I regret that to this this day! There are several guys that completely restore them and they bring big bucks. Was told they sold a bunch of restored ones to West Texas Realtors to take buyers to remote areas in comfort. It figures!
ReplyDeleteI've posted a couple small businesses that fix up Grand Wagoneers... rich people everywhere are in love with them from the Hamptons, to the mountain camping types... etc
DeleteThe guy I sold mine to never came back for the title. No idea what he did about that. I would have bought it back if I could find him. I'm to old to be taking on any new projects!
