https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sh8yqcozfn8 to watch the preview, which, looks to be quite dull and unimaginative, but, since it's a remake of a 60s movie, that inspired countless other movies, it's likely to be entirely predictable because it's likely to be little more than a safe financial risk on a remake of a movie from a legendary director, Akira Kurosawa's 1963 film High and Low, just remade as so much of Hollywood's elitists do, with a different racial cast in order to appeal to that smaller market, and as a method for getting more audience for Lee's musical tastes with the people that will watch this version of Kurosawa's film to see one of the last movies we'll get from the incredibly talented Denzel.
Sadly, Lee's award winning directing talent (Do the Right Thing, just a damn good down to earth movie) isn't likely to be applied to an original work in the future, because no matter how talented the cast, crew, director, scriptwriter, and the story, if a100 million or more in investments aren't readily signing on with the anticipation of a 4 to 1 return on investment, a movie doesn't get made. And Spike Lee's movies have limited appeal to anyone white, outside of New York, or not interested in movies about racism.
