With over 7,000 potholes, Oakland’s streets are ranked the worst in America. And city governments, and state elected officials, only make promises, they don't fill potholes. So some great people became the Pothole Vigilantes
well, the freeze thaw frost heave issue certainly isn't the problem, you're damn right. But, there's something else that destroys the roads, traffic. Lots and lots of traffic, but, the other factor is most likely the direct sunlight and high road temp from all that sunlight. I am probably not thinking of the other factors, but like the roads in the video show, something is just destroying that old road top/ prior large repair patch... those roads in the video are really bad.
Ryan Russo is full of bull. The POTHOLE VIGILANTES are the impetus for Oakland, CA to finally repair these potholes. To wit, the Vigilantes shamed the city into doing what they should have been doing. Credit to these two men and all of the others who have taken up the cause and are taking bags of filler and getting out there. Now, how about a reduction in taxers for Oakland residents for doing the City's work for them?
Potholes in California streets? Those streets should last forever. No freeze/thaw cycle.
