  1. Almost forgot about this antiquated attempt to cool a car interior. JC Whitney sold them for about 15 bucks. The idea was to fill them with water, and as the car moved down the road the air moving across the water would cause it to evaporate. The evaporation would create a cooling effect, and the cooled air was directed into the cabin. I understand they actually worked to a degree (pun intended). For about twice the price one could get a fan operated device which would draw ambient air into it, providing the necessary evaporation at slow speeds and while stopped.

    1. I've posted them before, years ago, because there are a lot around here that still use them and most car cruises and shows have a couple.
