Good news update, this past weekend, Ana Carrasco won the title in the FIM World Supersport 300 series - becoming the first female world champion in motorcycle racing.

Last year Ana Carrasco was the first woman to win a world-championship motorcycle race, and this weekend, she won the whole championship.

The FIM World Supersport 300 will probably not sound familiar, hell, I've only ever posted one story about it

Is this a monumental moment in motorbike racing though? If not, can we finally accept that the reproductive organs play no part in racing? If this is a monumental moment, then will man see a change in the sport?

I'm thinking it's the first, that it's significant in showing women are competing, but not that women are changing the sport in any way.

Can a discussion be made that there simply aren't enough people racing in SSP 300 for this to change the perspective of gender meaning anything in motorsports anyway?
