John Woodlock was one of the first people in California to buy Nissan's electric Leaf. Five years later, he says the car needed a new battery that will cost $7,000, more than the car's worth.




An Orange County man says after just five years his electric car could barely make it to work and back, and he was told he’d have to pay for a new battery himself.

Once he got some publicity, and the local tv station consumer action guy on the case, Nissan coughed up a battery pack
