The Florida Ethics Commission notified him that probable cause was found in the ethics complaint he filed, and found the Senator guilty of asserting his position as a state senator to bully a deputy sheriff into permitting him access to a stadium parking lot through a barricaded roadway. "The panel voted 5-0 to send a report to the Senate suggesting the Orlando Democrat be censured, publicly reprimanded and ordered to get continuing education about the state's ethics code for public officials."
