I can only guess, a 40's Chevy Modified Sportsman car, from Argentina?


Hi, the car above, is not a replica, it is an authentic and original Argentinian Road Racing car of that period.

It is a 1940 Ford Turismo de Carreterra, with its proper and also period Ford flathead engine, special aluminum high performance heads and intake manifold made in Argentina by RABA, 3 Ford 94 carburetors, and a full race cam.

I apprecaite Adriana Cobos letting me know in the comments that the car shown from a "Turismo Carretera", the most important racing category from Argentina.

Juan Manuel Fangio, before racing in F1 raced in this category.

    The car shown is a replica of a "Turismo Carretera", the most important racing category from Argentina. Juan Manuel Fangio, before racing in F1 raced in this category.     And it is in fact similar to Juan Manuel Fangio’s car except that his was a 1939 Chevrolet.
