the truth about blogging.

Currently there are about 30 sites (that I know of) that have copied all or most of my content into a blog they have made a name for, added advertisting to, and have no original content. How many I haven't found yet? Unknown. I would guess, a hundredish.

  1. That graphic says it all.
Except no one copies my content...how sad is that?

    1. if you create enough content, and it draws traffic, they will. I suspect that any websites or blogs that crack the top 500,000 online websites for traffic rankings are getting copied.

    1. that is a pretty focused blog you have Bigbilly, way to go. I lost my focus about the time I lost my mind... and it's been a lot of fun and posts since then.

    1. thanks, I agree. But the blog world exists, just like Facebook and youtube, to exploit our need to share interesting things, and the more we do, the more traffic we draw, and by allowing us free use of their sites, blog, youtube, and Facebook all get to sell advertising. We provide the interest and draw, they reap the profits of advertising. So, as long as the traffic flows, plagerists will copy successful examples, and turn it into profit.

  4. Terrible...fortunately it has not happened to me. Is this new? I have never seen this before...such a blatant rip off. I cant imagine they are getting enough ad revenue to make it profitable...so why do it?

    1. it's not new, I've been ripped of since my 2nd or 3rd year. It's just so simple to cut and paste, save and post... that anyone can copy and recreate almost everything you ever see on your screen. They make enough to make it worth their time to set up computers to copy sites, and repost the content, with ads... and Google is happy to have more poeple advertsing with it's products like adsense, that google never stops the copying and ripping off. Google profits from more sites = more traffic = more revenue.
