Rare Kaiser Darrin, the build plate shows Willys made it

They made 435 Kaiser Darrins. Of these, the Kaiser Darrin registry has accounted for 405. Most still exist. (see comments) This is the same one that was at the Grand National Roadster show, and the owner has had it since 1964 I believe he said

They made 435 Kaiser Darrins, not 500-600. Of these, the Kaiser Darrin registry has accounted for 405. Most still exist. Originally they came with a 161 cid Willy F-Head six in them, but it looks like a much more powerful V8 has found it's way into this car, which Dutch Darrin would be proud of. Only 50 were made in Sail Red, but this is not one of them. The body tag, paint color and trim code all indicate that it originally was Pine Tint (green) with a pine tint interior. - Still, the owners of this car have something to be proud of and it looks great. I've very happy to see that they had restored and customized this car into a wonderful example that they can drive and show. Congrats to them.
