Walter P Chrysler

Was the head of the Buick company, reporting only to Billy Durant, the head of GM in 1916-1919.

He ran the Willys car company for the next two years, then was the president and CEO of the Maxwell car company for 4 years. He then founded the Chrysler company, invented the Plymouth and De Soto lines, and bought Dodge in 1928.

In 1928, Chrysler was named Time Magazine's Man of the Year.
