Jesse, these are incredibly tough airplanes. The have a Titanium "tub" that the pilot sits in making him damn near bullit prove. There have been missions where the aircraft flew back to hit's home base with one engine completely gone. They can carry a huge amount of ordnance. They carry enough fuel to stay on station for a very long time.They are know as the Korea/Vietnam era Douglas Skyraider. Congress has been trying to retire them for a good while but not having much luck. Ground troops strongly support the Warthog as do a number of members of Congress. Guess we'll see.
