When I was young Popular Mecahnics magazine had an article on how to fuel inject your own car. Six cylinder only, as the procedure was to find the mechanical fuel injection from a Mercedes in a junkyard and adapt it to your American six. Never mind that VERY few PM readers would have the facilities to do it - much like today's You-Tube viewers watching endless build videos, I guess. The engine pic is a bit too dark to tell but I wonder if that's the same Bosch system that Ak Miller used?
it would have to be! No one is going to engineer, and R and D a new one, when a nice German engineered model is in the parts stores and junkyards, not to mention the Mercedes dealership parts counter!
