near Beaverton Oregon, a Kia Carnival minivan decided they had enough of getting berated by this 21 yr old biker... and it seems they tried to kill him. Maybe he hadn't yet learned just how vulnerable a biker is at 50 mph.... (thank you Kim!)
I doubt I'll learn the outcome, I won't be searching after a follow up. I just let people know, and if they're interested, they can dive into a thing, and learn more. I'm just a starting point.
Of course we didn't see the lead-up to this, but I'm guessing (biased by some background as a former motorcyclist perhaps) that the driver of the car had already done something impolite or boneheaded or worse, that led to the cyclist's imprecations. Ill advised, but sometimes we learn the hard way. I'm just glad the rider was OK.
Way long ago I was on the Sawmill River parkway when there was a minor flood. The car ahead of me was pussyfooting through a deepish puddle, and I knew my could go through it, so I passed in the adjacent lane, making considerable splash. The idiot next to me had her window open, and got wet. They spent the next half hour trying to run me off the road, slowing down when I did, so they could start passing and push over, speeding up when I tried to speed up, etc.
A friend of mine was once cut off or something of the sort by another car, and gave them the finger. They pulled up and fired a shotgun at him. Not hurt, fortunately, except for destroying his car door.
Please keep us updated when they catch this rotten human being. He should be charged with attempted murder based upon the video evidence.
