Found in trees dead is too common a fate for so many cars that no one had the funds to repair, when the mid 1970s had so many muscle cars dirt cheap during the OPEC oil crisis

I wonder how many muscle cars only survived the drunk drivers, rust, etc etc because they were off the road for a engine or trans problem, and forgotten?

  1. Hey Jesse, I know that you are not going to believe this, but I took the photos of this Torino. I received permission to do so and soon after the car was moved inside the guy's barn. it is still there to this day. I originally posted them to website "carsinbarns.com" and he featured one of the pics in a Calander.

    1. I can easily believe it! I find photos I created all over the place, and unlike my method of including a link to my source, no one else shares what their source was.
Thanks for reaching out Jack! I must compliment your 3/4 shots, well done!
How did you FIND this Torino?
Is the owner ever going to get this Torino running again? Or will it deteriorate for decades until it's too far gone to be roadworthy?
Did you ever find a cool car in a similar circumstance and make it yours?

    2. Thank you for believing, I was at a local garage having an inspection done and saw it in the woods behind the house next door. The owner who I was familiar with was out so I asked to take some pics. He also asked me about having it restored since I own a small body shop in town. the next day it was in his pole barn where it is still. And yes I have rescued a 1946 Ford coupe that was in a barn for thirty years but the best story is of the unrestored1971 AMC Javelin that I still own.
