Good news for us old goofballs who want to watch Starsky and Hutch again for the first time since 1975, its free on IMDB tv on Amazon Firestick

It's good when it comes to writing and acting, but has lousy editing

So if you get a kick out of counting how many times the same scene is on screen, but shot with different cameras, this is a great fun show

Or see how many times in the same episode they use the same cars to drive past while in pursuit of the bad guys, or all the character actors that were on EVERY tv series in the 70s and early 80s, like Charles Napier, Michael Lerner, Geoffrey Lewis, and Robert Loggia

But what is best? The real Los Angeles 1975 stores, garages, restaurants, vending machines, and ALL the 60s  and 70s cars in the background with NO cars newer than 75 or 76... depending on whatever season of the show you're watching.

AND its in better resolution than the tv shows from the late 80s for some reason. very good focus, not blurry low res

So far, I've watched just the first two episodes, and it's great. The green 63 Impala show up in both episodes. Damn, Huggy Bear is anorexic, with collars as wide as his shoulders - I kid you not, and the Gran Torino has big n littles on slotted mags, and I can't remember any other tv show that hot rods around as much, spinning the tires, over steers, under steers, slides around corners etc

Episode 3 has a Nudie Cohen Cadillac

  1. It's also on the Roku channel, if you have a Roku. My wife started watching it as she watched it as a kid. I never did because my parents would let me. I think they just wanted to watch something on a different channel, but who knows.
