Steve sent me this, and pointed out that the Corvette was made in '53, and Schwinn borrowed the name in '54 for their bike

    Hahahaha, now there's an era long gone! Hell, I don't know if you can even get a real phone book anymore. I think it's all online white and yellow pages?

  2. I grew up about 2 blocks away from the Schwinn plant. In summer you could look inside the factory because the overhead doors were kept open with a gate across the opening. My brother delivered groceries and bought his own brand new grocery bike. He actually picked it up at the Schwinn factory just like people would pickup new car in Detroit.
