SP C.P. Huntington No. 1 at the 1939 New York World's Fair

  1. Man I wish that was a color print. Looks like the engine wheel setup is a 4-2-4, with is rather unusual. Oh, that's one badass cow catcher on the front.

  2. The little guy is still around...gorgeously restored, it's at the California Railroad Museum in Sacramento. It was used in the construction of the Transcontinental Railroad and retired in 1900. I've seen it- it's really a tiny little thing.
