San Diego couldn't muster any civic pride, do to politics, bureaucrats, and red tape... or pull itself together to have a 2015 Expo, so small bits of interest like this are about all you'll find to commemorate that in 1915 there was the equivalent of a worlds fair in the city park. https://www.facebook.com/events/1496816113864581

this is the cover to a 36 page souvenir book of photos that can be seen at https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.810932428956688.1073742066.181625028554101&type=1 showing how the park was built to accommodate tourists and show the culture and production in the west
