Bolt on woody kit? Ummm, I don't think it worked out well. What do you guys think?

  1. I think he ruined a perfectly good Ford.

  2. I love this car! What a cool picture. My husband has been getting me into hot rods lately. I would love one like this. Love the color.

  3. Woodys of that era used the wood as structure, which is why their lines flowed so well. Sticking it on top of steel makes it look like, well, it's stuck on top of steel.

My wife walked thru the room as I was looking at this post. She glanced over and said "That's HIDEOUS! What on earth are you looking at?"

  7. I admire the craftsmanship, but the boot (trunk) section and the cut outs for the fins & spats don't 'look' right. It's very much an afterthought. If the shape of the sidepiece was altered, and the trunk part lost, maybe it would fit a bit better.

  8. It’s not so bad, but it’s not so good either. The thing I noticed was that the kit didn’t seem to blend well with the car. It’s really hard to find a body kit that will match the original appearance of the car. That’s why I admire the owner for trying out that unusual exterior styling. All I could think of looking at the car was the barrel man. XD

  9. For me, it’s not bad at all. Although, it would have looked better if the owner just went with the wooden look all over the car. That would have looked awesome! In any case, I do appreciate the work the owner put in to customize the car. I know restoring and customizing a car is no joke, so kudos to him there!

  10. You may really find it odd the first time you see it, but after a while, you can simply say that it really shows off some uniqueness. I think it’s the owner’s way to show his car’s individuality.
