1966 Unimog flatbed tow truck... with an innovative tilt rear wheel assembly that is brilliant





 sorta makes you wonder why this didn't become more common as a design... it would be very useful in a small scale for wheelchairs, motorcycles, boats, jet-skis etc

I don't remember ever seeing anything like this before! Proves to me that there are still cool vehicles to see, but they aren't coming to many shows, and I have to keep going to shows I haven't been to in order to find them

  2. only front wheel drive though...
    Eezion made trailers of this design and they also made the Eezion Camel which is similar to this but based on the Land Rover 109 and was used by the AA for recovery

  3. That concept is used more than you think. look at larger ice houses, most of them use a design very similar to that
