a motor home designed by the guy’s father in 1962 who took his family in a station wagon to Yellowstone National Park and back, then made this out of a 1962 Ford Econoline with a custom-built aircraft aluminum body.
Who is Rawlings? If you have to ask, it doesn't matter. If you already know, same thing.
He was invited there, met with the owner, was able to purchase about 5 vehicles, I don't think the owner let the custom Ford motorhome go. In the end, Rawlings offered the man 1 million for all of it including the building.
ReplyDeleteyes, I watched most of video to get these screen shots. He tried to low ball him on every vehicle. I quit watching the offers after the first couple offers. I didn't see any part where he made an offer for the whole thing, but really, that's not important. What a nice variety the old man has, and how good their condition is, that's the point, so, that's why I only clipped the shots of the vehicles. The 15 minutes of the beginning of the video was wasted while Rawlings gets introduced and goes through some convenience store.
DeleteThat is a nice collection, with some family history and personal history of cars that Mr. Kershaw bought. It would be cool to have an old factory like that to store and work on the cars.
