Is it just me? Or would this be a great time for "gourmet food vans" aka, taco trucks, roach coaches, etc to cruise neighborhoods like ice cream trucks?

Restaurants are closed, nothing to be done about that.

But can't food vans get crazy business right now by heading out into the residential neighborhoods?

Just a half baked idea that has yet to be shot down by anyone with a different way of thinking

  1. Bad idea, first your deep fryer would be spilling everywhere. Second, if one infected bozo leans on your counter, you could infect the following 50 people that can't throw a couple hot dogs in the microwave.

  2. MUSC our local Medical University has a court set up for food trucks to park, that way the employees (and family of patients) can get something different than cafeteria food. Just about all of the sit down restaurants are closed in the Charleston area some are allowed to do carry out, and I don't see why a food truck would be any different than picking up at Pizza Hut.

  3. Restaurants in New York state are open by choice but for pick up/take out only

  4. Great idea and similar to something my other half came up with a couple days ago - mobile shops (bread, milk, etc)
Only down side would be if it was popular, people would gather or que to purchase and you're back to square one :-/
If a 'one at a time' system could be implemented then it sounds like a goer :-)
