no one ever looks up ... but some people really should, and that might prevent hitting things, like expensive chandeliers. Try and explain that to the insurance company

  1. If you drive something tall you darn well better look up! My truck and trailer stand 13'3" so anything less that14' gets close inspection. Only once in 20+ years with RVs have I had to back down a road due to a low bridge. Always plan ahead.

  2. I've seen a lot of videos of them hitting bridges but had the first hand experience of watching it happen on the New York State Thruway Sunday. He was going east and I was going west but diagonally we were only three to four hundred feet apart. The top was flapping in the wind like a rag. It was a sight to see!
