The top ambulance looks like a 47 or 48 Buick. The second one is a Cadillac from around the same time. I found some information about ambulances and hearses made by Flxible, which had about 5" of material added to the hood and firewall to match the taller rear body. It sounds like the reverse of sectioning a hot rod.
