Early this morning, per the Michigan State Police, seven brand-new Camaros were stolen from General Motors' Lansing, Michigan plant.
Most of the Chevys were quickly tracked down by police shortly after the call came through at 12:17 a.m., after the cops set up a dragnet of sorts on a local freeway.
The five Camaros damaged during the pursuits appear to be regular Camaros and several supercharged ZL1 models
I'm surprised that these Camaros had enough gas to go very far, especially in a high-speed chase. With the price of gas now, I'd think GM would put in just enough to get the cars off the end of the line and on and off the haulers to get them to a dealership.
