I would bet those are love bugs, endemic to the Gulf States. If you leave the little things on your vehicle they become damn near impossible to remove. They also etch paint. I remember my car getting caked with them when I lived in Florida. Gah.

Deletethere's other places that claim to have a mosquito problem, but not the yoopers (I'm one) nope. The big swamp skeeters are pretty good with bbq dipping sauce, but the regular city ones are not as good tasting from the city water they drink. You know?
