Earl Carr filling station, with a trolley car for an office, had 3 pictures taken from a nice variety of angles

below is zoomed in to get a better look at the railcar.. and the gas pumps.

"Pepper" brand gas came in 3 or 4 grades, “Red Pepper,” “Super Pepper,” and “Truck Pepper.”

in the above, the gas pump globes are too faint to read, but the closest is Truck Pepper, then Super Pepper, then the farthest is Red Pepper

  1. The pictures were taken from a couple different angles, but the guy in uniform(either soldier or cop), is always facing the camera. Strange.

  2. Wow, I've seen a lot of historical images, but this one is truly amazing. It is the writing
on the wall, and it says: "Hello automobiles, goodbye public transportation, trolleys, e.g."
Once ubiquitous, profitable, safe, and ecologically sound, the charming trolley network ended
up on the ash heap of history. Everyone wanted a car.
