California is on fire again, the Santa Ana winds from the very hot and dryer Nevada, Arizona area are wreaking vengeance on homes and cars, again

  1. We should be building fire fighting planes instead of that F-22 boondoggle.

    1. I'm with you on this... I'll go further, I suggest we cut the military budget and apply it to natural disaster fighting efforts. We don't have a war, we don't have an enemy, and we don't need 3/4 of the national budget going to the military, we do need more put toward floods, fires, hurricanes, etc.. We simply are having a lot more natural disasters and they are getting worse.

    2. True, true. You need to have something to defend with that big army. And with all those "Mother Nature is pissed" events US have there should be stronger push for internal "defense" against such things. But I think Jesse that you perfectly know that death dealing industry bring more cash for investors then financing first responders ect. But, just a little less for bombs and little more for fire extinguishers would be nice.

And this is the opinion from militaristic person like me.

  2. 6 people killed in the Camp Fire so far...bodies unidentifiable, at least 5 of them. I live in San Francisco, 180 miles away, and the sky is dark with smoke. Dry country, strong winds from the East.

    1. Keep yourself and family safe Jeff. I don't report on the people involved in these tragedies, I stick to the automotive, and avoid the depression it would transfer to my readers who might then associate my site with depressing news. I want my site to be a place they look forward to coming to check out, based on them expecting to find something interesting, exciting, etc
