200 cars seized by 4 cops during traffic stops, both the chief and the acting chief of police, two patrolmen, and the tow truck driver have all been arrested in King City, Monterey County, California. They were selling the cars to get rich. They targeted poor minorities.

A lot of the activity in Texas is related to police seizing assets through "asset forfeiture". You do not even need to be convicted of a crime for them to seize you car and any cash you have. It is known and reported that this is going on in Texas and likely to be happening elsewhere. Drive with caution.
ReplyDeleteYou have a million little police chiefs, sheriffs and deputies running around down there in the US all acting on their own agendas like a bunch of cowboys. No wonder this is happening. In Canada all policing is centralized and standardized so the EVERY COP from coast to coast is bound by the same rules and regulations. But oooooh, that's big government. You don't want that. Next time the right wing starts screaming for states rights remember these stories.
