The production reports, reference that the Aerobus 15 was a failure is just one persons opinion. The reality is the Aerobus 15 was introduced after Checker had already exited the market. CMC had many requests to reintroduce, and that's exactly why 107 were built. Under orders from David Markin, John Logan came up with the idea of the Aerobus 15. The fact that the Aerobus could carry more passengers than the old Aerobus is just one example why the Aerobus 15 is a better design and not a failure.
and that's your opinion. See how that works? It obviously wasn't a success... as we can see by looking at the seventied.... and the 80s. Unless an unbiased limo or bus driver weighs in that has experience with these, then I'll just not endorse any opinion. It's certainly too long to be used with ease, or parked, and can't use parking garages, cities with hills and peaked crowns, railroad humps, etc. It's a limited use vehicle, and like so many sampans that went before it, was a short lived vehicle. Many are.
