great view of Le Monstre

  1. This picture does justice to the actual size of the car. It was huge compared to the other entrants of the 1950 Le Mans. The old man himself was driving it when he ran into a sandbank and had to dig the car out by hand. The time lost set the car back in the standings, and at the finish it was 11th, behind the 10th place sister Cadillac 61 Sedan.
