Interesting that the Pontiac Safari never gained the notoriety or cache of the Chevrolet Nomad. Chevy sold just over twice as many '55 through '57: 20,092 vs. 9,094
The fender skirts and the tail fins don't help that '56 Safari, back end is too bulky looking.
