Wow, the views are astonishing, though the abrupt drop offs require a bit of attention if you're moving along with a motor for better speed. Those guys who used to run the trains when they were first put in, got to see some amazing country

my question... how great would it be to make a mini powered rig, to pull a tiny superlightweight trailer, with a little tent, and take that up the rails to camp out with? Or even a teardrop?

Camas Prairie Railroad, now named the Bountiful Grain and Craig Mountain Railroad in Northern Idaho, was a short line railroad in northern Idaho known as the "railroad on stilts" due to the many wooden trestles along its route

The 1975 Charles Bronson film Breakheart Pass was filmed on this railroad.

  1. Really amazing video's these brass cojones (kahonas) gentlemen shot riding the old rails. Wonder if they were rail road men in their younger days.

  2. some of those high trestles were quite unnerving!

One nice thing with this type of trail riding...no steep inclines to climb.
