Tim Allen's car collection from a new GQ interview, and Clive Cussler's collection from a Hooniverse interview of 2011

  1. Interesting. I think if I had a choice I would prefer a tour of Clive Cussler's collection more than Tim Allen's. Allen's is nice and all, but it's basically what you would see at any cruise night, or any fairly decent car show. Clive has the real classics as far I'm concerned.

  2. The "33 Ford" in Tim Allen's collection is really a '46. On Home Improvement, he sold his hot rod to a guy who owned a pizza company and had a big car collection, modeled after Tom Monahan, who owned Domino's. Tim's son talked him into getting the old '46 Ford instead of the hot rod. Jay Leno played a mechanic in the garage, who sarcastically said something like "great choice" about buying the '46.
