an addition to the 3 wheel dragster photos found on the HAMB

from http://www.rodsnsods.co.uk/forum/chat/post-random-pic-thread-7157/page175

Above just found on the HAMB thread "History of LA" and according to Hot Rod it's probably the Kenny Ellis built dragster http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?p=4927350

Above found on http://zelastchancegaragedu78.blogspot.com/

This last photo also found on http://zelastchancegaragedu78.blogspot.com/ but is clearly a different dragster, it's rear engine is a quick clue that other people were trying the 3 wheel design, but in a safer way

  1. The last photo with the three wheeled rear engine dragster, also had another first in drag racing it had hydrolic lift Rams on the rear end to raise the tires off the ground for the start of the race. I know this because the driver in that picture is my grandfather Robert "Jeff" jahns. Just a bit of history to share
