back in the 80s my dad or uncle had a Scout with a plow for getting snow. I got to plow snow with it once, it was so damn fun! Sure, it's a dull thing to do when you have to, daily, all winter long, but give the job to a young person who is eager to drive anything!

  2. If you were driving the four-banger, it was fun - AND NOISY FUN! They did a great job of getting through snow. Experience never forgotten.

  3. I had a '69 Scout just about like the one shown. Not the most graceful car on the road, with spot welds you could pull apart with your teeth, and few creature comforts, but as a snowplowing vehicle it was, I think, unsurpassed. Very heavy for its size, with (on mine at least) the "Powr-lok" limited slip differential, old style Dana axles like a Jeep, with the outrageously heavy 4-196 engine (literally a school bus engine sawed in half), it was a monster in snow, virtually unstoppable.
