regardless of how time honored the contempt is for hub caps, I'd really love a good look at the options available on the 1967-72 muscle cars, because they simply were never seen on the street. 1st thing most people did was get good looking rims

these were the options for the 1968 Plymouth.

I'm sure that hub caps were designed to just be weird enough looking that at the dealership when ordering a car the old fashioned way, more people would upgrade to the more expensive factory optional rims

  1. Anything with spinners looked good, especially in motion.

  2. Some of my favorite hubcaps are from the Thunderbird. the 66 deluxe hubcaps are one of the best ever, the 64 and 65 deluxe ones and the 67 68 deluxe ones did their very best to look like mag wheels.

  3. In 74 my father bought a new 74 Caprice convertible, with every available option, power everything, and the 454 engine, and the fancy wire spoke wheel covers. and those wire spoke hubcaps always sparkled and shined. Always. He was a member of the mountain search and rescue team and got called out one day to help recover some people who has slipped and fallen off a waterfall. When my mom got home we all learned how he kept those wire wheel covers so sparkly all the time. She was not happy to find the hubcaps in the dishwasher.
