It once had a car racing track. All the big names raced there, but that was decades ago and now the track is gone and the pastures are disappearing under houses
But the dry yellow grass gives a feel for the history of the district.
Corbett paid tribute to both, the rich racing history, and the dry grassy area had him think of grasshoppers, flies, locusts and Hereford cattle.
