must have been nice to get a "get out of jail free card" from the mayor. I bet you didn't know that was a thing for the rich and powerful

Back in the '70s my brother-in-law was a local LEO in NJ. He gave me one of his "Courtesy" cards. I tried it out on a LEO in Chicago. The response I got was, "What the hell is this?" As I recall I didn't get a ticket though.
