I wonder what heating element method this company used for full car width floor heating

  1. alot of the early auxiliary heaters used gasoline.

  2. I've owned a couple of older VW's which basically pushed air from heat exchangers in the exhaust down a tube in the rocker panel under the doors and up into the car. Needless to say when it was real cold unless you were moving along they were worthless. In turn I had gasoline heaters that were in the front trunk area that used the fuel from the gas tank which was also under the hood. They actually had a conventional coil and spark plug for ignition which ran continuous during operation. They actually worked pretty good.

  3. The Perfection floor heaters used exhaust gas as a source of heat. They also made aftermarket heaters that used engine coolant.
