somebody ordered up a strange mix of selections on their 69 Charger, a 3 speed stick on the column, with a slant 6

  1. I'd buy this in second. Cool combination of options, NOT!

  3. 🤨 Well sir, I had a '68 with a slant six under the hood. To this day I lament selling it. That and a few years before, my '69 with a 383 CID, 4 speed and dual exhaust. What a fool I was, but I just never thought I'd ever see that day when they weren't ubikwitus.

  4. Its amazing that somewhere along in its life the slant 6 wasn't pulled an a crate motor put in. Now its probably gets more attention at cruise night parking lot than the Hemi's and 440's do. I had a Dart with the 'leaning tower of power' so I'd definitely be good with it in a 69 Charger, I also grew up driving a three on the tree, so no big deal there either, to be honest its not as cool, but more convenient for daily driving in city traffic than a floor shifter. BUT I don't see a power steering pump under that hood, so count on improving your upper body strength driving this one around. Love the color BTW.

  5. According to the info in The Standard Catalog Dodge built only 500 base six cylinder '69 Chargers. The base price was $3,020 compared with over $3,800 for more well equipped models.
