I can't recall ever seeing one of these Chrysler Aspens before, looks a lot like a 20 year old Durango

  1. The Aspen is a rebadged Dodge Durango. They only made the Aspen for a few years.

  2. pretty close to 20 years...came out in 2007 and ended in 2009.

I worked at a Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep dealer at the time. We sold 1. When he brought it in for service, our favorite line was "So, how's your Ass-been?"

  3. Yep, that's the real thing.
Just a Durango with a different grille and a nicer interior.More leather, More woodgrain.
We had several go through our dealership out here in the midwest. Still was not a real great seller.

  4. That's about how old they are. Nice interiors, more or less a Grand Cherokee with a Chrysler badge.

  5. I guess they thought everyone had forgotten the lousy Aspen / Volare cars of the late 70s ?

I had a 1977 Aspen, after a couple years I got a 78 Formula Firebird to replace it, and the Firebird was a much better car.
