the below call board may as well be ignored, it's doesn't have all the correct information. There were 2, possibly 3, similar cars, and one was at the track and the other was at the New York Auto show... at the same day. This is a fact.

The car I've photographed is represented to be the race car, and it is NOT
Except it wasn't raced. It's for sale though, as if it was.
not a vinyl top, a spackle spray. You know that the dimples on a golf ball make it more aerodynamic, right? So does the texture of the vinyl top and this spackle spray. Some racer (probably Smokey Yunick or other risky Nascar car owner) tried the dimple treatment to their car once... just once. Nascar immediately outlawed the dimple treatment
the tires are coated with silicone on the inside to allow them to hold air
to get the real facts, and not what a car flipper wants you to believe in order to make a fortune from the uniformed: http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,63521.500.html where a couple people have displayed more than enough proof that this wasn't raced.

Petty Mower commented, and it glitched in the process of posting, but I recovered the comment: But......is this REALLY the first 200 mph car? Got lots of spare time on your hands? Research that a little, and you'll be scratching your head. On the DodgeCharger Forum, there are 20-pages of discussion over every single detail of the Buddy Baker accomplishment, and the car he was driving. Copy and paste the link below and read until you're confused. http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,63521.0.html
ReplyDeletePhoto of this car at the 1970 New York Auto Show, the same time as it is supposed to be racing in Alabama.
ReplyDeleteEven appears in an old car Car Life magazine from 1970.
