Business coupes were 2 door cars with HUGE trunks so traveling salesmen could fit product samples, like miniature pianos, sets of dishes, carpet samples etc... but this is the first V12 powered business coupe I ever found. 1937 Lincoln Zephyr

  1. I do not believe the Zephyr coupes were ever considered "business" coupes, in spite of the long trunk lid. Note in the description "A large appearing trunk, but mostly containing the spare tire."

    These were high dollar, luxury cars, rarely used for prosaic purposes.
