A couple of the last of Ed Roth's t-shirt and sweater ads, they don't show up after 1970 in Hot Rod magazine

For the best ones: http://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2009/06/ed-big-daddy-roth-advertisements-from.html the ones that had more in the ad to entertain the reader

http://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2009/07/ed-big-daddy-roth-t-shirt-advertising.html not too bad either

  2. I have been a Hot Rod subscriber since the '70, although Ed Roth's art work is very wondeful, I didn't recall much since '78 or '79...? db ;)

    1. posted this about 12 years ago, when I had my Hot Rod collection in order, and I went through them all, from about 1950 to the mid 80s, as those were the better years for interesting content.
I don't have them in order anymore, they are now all packed in boxes, and going through them to find out when Roth's last advert was, isn't something I could do fast enough to make a response to you with accuracy, in my current hectic busy day to day.
But the market was gone by the mid 70s for the goofy stuff he was selling on shirts and sweaters.
I bet any bio on Roth would tell you when he stopped that as a business

    2. I see that in my posts, he made a shirt in 1979... that doesn't mean it was part of his business, there isn't any info about that with it https://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2020/11/a-real-ed-roth-airbrushed-t-shirt-is.html
