Disney was approached by De Soto to advertise for them, he had no interest in doing it. When his mother, Flora, found out that they had offered him a free De Soto for doing the advertisement, she convinced him to do the ad and give the car to his parents--they ended up loving the De Soto.
Unfortunately, I cannot add photos here. Alice Faye loved her 1938 De Soto and Ginger Rogers lover her 1939 according to advertisements.
