ever heard of a 432 Fairlady Z?

Larry Chen, in Tokyo, gathered a half dozen Nissans, and this was the only left hand drive from the USA

whoa, I stumbled across this behind the scenes video of Larry Chen interviewing invitees to a 7-11 commercial where 7-11 celebrates JDM culture

and when I looked around Youtube for the finished commercial, instead, I found this... from the neighborhood kids who went over to check out the scene while the sun was still up

congratulations to Larry Chen, SEMA Automotive Influencer of the Year award winner!

Influencer seems to be the term for celebrity in the social media sites, not the dictionary definition. For an interesting look at a top 100 list, that also explains what the people are doing, or have done, to be on the list, see amraandelma.com/top-car-influencers and I imagine you'll find it interesting. I sure did, as it's not the way I would have ranked those people. Some seem to have fallen out of the spotlight they did command some years ago. Others, only seem to be on the list because they have millions of you tube subscribers, and not influencing anyone to do anything at all. After all, how many Bugatti purchases happened because someone was filmed sitting/posing in a Bugatti for photographers? I doubt any, as they cost too much to be whim purchases unless a few billionaires might be that easily swayed by spandex to waste a couple million dollars. Another example is a Formula Drift driver. Just exactly who cares? No one wastes a fortune to enter that race program because they saw someone do it.

On the contrary, Larry's photography, actually DOES influence car enthusiasts to get out more, photograph more, and look at a wider variety of car genres in appreciation. His excellence in photography, and mastery of his craft, are exquisite.
